I’m originally from a small(ish) town in the Pacific Northwest called Bellingham, WA. I got my BA in History from Washington State University in 2012 and decided to move to San Diego soon after to start my professional life somewhere with an agreeable climate. Several years later I completed my Masters in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. Most recently I was teaching Humanities courses at Coleman University here in San Diego. My goal is to foster a classroom culture that has its foundation in kindness, consideration, respect for all, and last but not least, fun! I will strive every day to make sure that students in my class feel safe, physically and emotionally, and that their thoughts, ideas, dreams, and questions are all welcomed and celebrated.
