MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS

Hello Hawking Family! My name is Ms. Bañuelos and I am joining the middle school team as the History teacher. I grew up in San Ysidro and moved to Santa Barbara after high school to attend UCSB. I earned a degree in Sociology in 2012 and had the awesome opportunity to study abroad in Italy for half a year! For the past 5 years I have been teaching History in Chula Vista but am delighted to join the beautiful community at Hawking this year. When I am not listening to podcasts about history, dancing ballet, or cooking lasagna, I love to go on walks with my two dogs, a Belgian Malinois named Dimitry and a terrier named Garra. I am eager to learn and grow with the amazing students at Hawking!
