6TH GRADE TEACHERS

Hello! My name is Chris Santana and I have been at Hawking for six years. I started as a student teacher in kindergarten with Mrs. De Alva and have been a 6th grade teacher here since 2017. Prior to Hawking, I went to school and played college football at the University of Willamette, in Oregon. At Willamette, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Politics. I then went on to get my Master’s in Education from the University of San Diego. Outside of teaching, my true passion is sports. Anything to stay active and be competitive, I’m all in. As a 6th grade teacher, my goal is to not only teach your child the academic requirements, but also ensure they are compassionate and considerate people everyday, inside and outside the classroom. The world can use more kindness, thus our 6th graders will try and lead the way.
