My name is Amiel Maldonado, and I am proud to be a Hawking S.T.E.A.M. Charter School Hbot! I grew up in San Diego County and am honored to teach in this community. I have a passion for helping every student reach their potential. I believe it's important to develop a curiosity for learning and challenge ourselves to be better in every aspect of our lives.

I received two Bachelor's Degrees in Child and Adolescent Development and Business Administration from CSU San Marcos and a Masters in Public Health with an emphasis in Maternal and Child Health from UC Berkeley. I am currently pursuing a second Masters in Education from National University. I love learning and pursuing new challenges, and I hope to inspire this passion in my students.

I enjoy working with 3rd graders and their families. I strive to create a community of learners that cares about each other and views the world through a problem-solving lens. There is so much to learn, and I am looking forward to preparing the next generation of S.T.E.A.M. leaders who will make their world a better place!
