3RD GRADE TEACHERS

Welcome to Hawking STEAM Charter School, my name is Argelia Estavillo. I have been an educator since 1996 in San Diego. I have a BA in Arts and Science Liberal Studies with a BCLAD Credential and a Mathematics Specialist Certificate from SDSU. In the past 15 years I have been a part of the Charter School Movement, and molding my teaching techniques to ensure students success. As a 3rd grade teacher, I strongly embrace the S.T.E.A.M. based teaching mentality as well as a strong standard base foundation. Engaging my students with project-based assignments to allow the students to get a first-hand taste of the real world at a young age. My students enter my classroom as individuals and through many projects and working closely with other students they become a team learning from each other's strengths and weaknesses. I am honored to be part of a community that recognizes the importance of education reform. I am eager to work closely with my parents and develop a clear vision for the success of the student. A good education is a good partnership between teacher and parent. I look forward to meeting you and your child, getting to know your child and unlocking their potential is my priority. Be prepared to discover the creativity your child has in our school Expo and be amazed by their projects.
